... Anne Stewart (Reniers) Vose...OBIT
Jan. 15, 1945 - Jan. 22, 2016 OKLAHOMA CITY Anne Stewart Vose passed away peacefully on January 22, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Her many friends, who number in the hundreds, are stunned at her passing. Anne was born in Pasadena, California, on January 15, 1945. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. James H. Reniers. The family moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the early 1950s. After high school graduation, Anne attended Pine Manor College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. For more than forty-five years, she made significant contributions to civic, cultural and social life of Oklahoma City. Anne was a nationally recognized interior designer, whose many projects and words of wisdom and style created a lasting memory of her true grace. Anne was devoted to her family and community, especially: the Oklahoma Art Center, the Junior League of Oklahoma City, Casady School, Citizens Bank, and many other community foundations and organizations. Her love of animals encouraged regular involvement in the Pooch Parade for Annual Rescue Friends in Nichols Hills. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Robert E. Lee, Jr. Survivors include her loving husband, Charles A. Vose, Jr.; daughter, Carolyn Hughes, of Tulsa, and husband Robert; son, Robert E. Lee, III and wife Stephanie, and brother, James Hunter Reniers, III and his wife Viva Lee, all of Houston, Texas. She also leaves Lisa Combs and her husband Brett, Chad Vose, III and wife Merry, all of Dallas, Texas. Anne's four grandchildren: Lindsey Lee; William Secrist; Bobby and Margaret Hughes; also, Estee and Annie Combs; Alden, Gardner, and Harry Vose; along with many nieces and nephews will greatly miss their "Annie." Anne's many loves including travel, family and service, were an inspiration and source of happiness for her. A Memorial Service is planned for Wednesday, January 27 at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4400 N. Shartel Ave., Oklahoma City. Anne's ashes will be set to sea in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity or foundation of your choice. The family wishes to thank the very special care givers for their kind and gentle support.

Marilyn has gone to be with the Lord...
Lisa, just called and said that her mom
passed away peacefully about an hour ago...
To all of Mom's extended family in the Class of '63: Mom passed very peacefully this afternoon at 1:20pm. She died precisely as she lived, on her own terms and with great dignity. Every one of you enriched her life more than I can ever express, and I know she cared deeply for all of you.
There will be a memorial service soon, and I promise I'll let you all know about it, but for now I just need to sleep and adjust to my life without her. For those of you celebrating your joint 70th Birthday tonight, please think of her with joy, and know that she's going to be watching over all of you, and expecting you to have a wonderful time and treasure each other's company.

To a special lunch gathering... We're starting at 11:30 a.m. because they get really busy by noon. They're going to have 3 choices from their $7 lunch menu for us to choose from - that makes it faster for them to serve a group at the lunch hour.
Looking forward to seeing you there...

I'm passing along a piece of sad news from Marvin Byrd...
Wesley Worrell, who attended our 50th Reunion passed away August 29, from cancer.
The funeral was two weeks ago. He was diagnosed just before Christmas.
Wesley was a nephew by marriage..
Wes was in our class, but didn't get to graduate because his family moved to Norman
just after the start of our senior year.
Read the Obituary and view the Guest Book, leave condolences or send flowers. | Wesley Dean (Wes) Worrell, a longtime Tulsa resident, passed away August 29,...

Hi everyone!
It's been a little over a year now since our 50th Reunion. I don't know about you, but I miss everyone. I hope this year has been kind to you and that you've had a lot of interesting things happen.
In that vein, Ron and I want to encourage those of you who are on Facebook to join our class page there. It's so easy to share news with classmates that way and we wish more of you would tell us about things like trips, new homes, retirements, or even memories of our school days. It's a closed page - you have to be approved to join it - and in our case that means you have to be a member of our class. We've had a few requests from other people and we haven't approved them, even if they are relatives of class members. We think that helps preserve privacy a bit more than open Facebook postings.
Another thing we try to keep up with on that page is sending birthday wishes. But we can't do that if we don't know your birthday. If you didn't get an email birthday wish from us this last year, it means that you haven't given us that date! You can go on to the page and add your birthdate to Ron's posting there, or you can send it to either one of us by regular email, or you can go to the class website and add the date to your profile so that it shows on the calendar on that site.
However you do it, we'd really like to have your birthdate (it doesn't have to include the year if that bothers you - we all can pretty well guess what that is anyway!)
Again I hope things are well with you and your family. Please stay in touch, keep your profile on the website up to date, and know that your friends from the Class of '63 are interested in you.

CHS Foundation's
Golf Tournament
Saturday, March 22
8:00am - Shotgun Start
Cap Hurlbutt, Doug Manning, Jim Blazer, Ed Werre, Larry Shiplet, Ron Daley and Dwight Rychel determinedly represented the Class of '63 in the CHS Foundation's golf tournament on March 22, 2014. We're calling it a determined effort due to the fact that when the tournament started at 8am, the temperature was 40° with a 30mph wind!
That's pretty cold to be out on the
golf course.
(It did warm up and was pretty nice
by lunchtime)
Unfortunately our teams didn't win the Alumni Class competition prize.
That honor went to the Class of 1968
this year. But we hope these players and maybe some others will try again in next year's tournament and come away with the trophy!
Thanks for coming out
to benefit the CHS Foundation!

On Veteran's Day of 2013, the CHS Foundation dedicated a plaque honoring those CHS Alumni who gave their lives during the Vietnam War.
Marilyn Loucks, President of the foundation, spearheaded this project and recruited
Joe Durham and Rex Downer
of the Class of '63 to assist with the effort.
The CHS Foundation is now working on a plaque honoring those who died during the Korean War.
CHS Alumni -- Can you add any names to this list?
We want to be sure we have
included everyone who should be recognized.
